Transactions

Overview
Transactions gives you a real-time ledger of every payment that moves through your company's account in Zeal including net pay credits, company debits, refunds, direct pay, and more along with the current status of each one.
Transactions is available as its own item in the left-hand menu, above Organization.
Before You Begin
It's helpful to have the following on hand before you search for a specific transaction:
The approximate amount or date of the transaction
The name of the employee, contractor, or customer account involved
The transaction type you're looking for (for example, Net pay credit or Refund)
Open Transactions
Select Transactions from the left-hand menu. Every transaction is listed in a table with the following columns:
Amount
Status
Transaction type
Source
Destination
Date
Use the arrows in the top right of the table to page through results.
Search or Filter Transactions
Use the Search bar to find a transaction by keyword. Select Status for a quick filter on a transaction's current state:
Canceled
Processing
Settled
Returned
Pending
For more specific results, select Filter to open the full filter panel. You can filter by:
Amount - an exact amount, or a minimum and/or maximum
Status - Canceled, Processing, Settled, Returned, or Pending
Transaction type - Company debit, Net pay credit, Refund, Clawback, Direct pay, Top-up, Payout, Wallet transaction, Invoice bank transfer, or Business card
Source / Destination - Zeal, Company, Worker, or Customer account
Date - a preset range (such as Last quarter, Next 30 days, or Last year), or a custom From/To range
Review Transaction
Details Select any row to open the Transaction details panel. Depending on the transaction, you'll see:
Amount and Transaction ID, with a copy button for the ID
Employee ID, if the transaction involves a worker
View in context - jumps to where the transaction originated (for example, the related payroll or bill)
From and To - the accounts the money moved between
Payment details - Method, Type, Connection, and any External note
Timeline - a chronological history of the transaction's status, with a timestamp for each change (for example, Processing followed by Settled)
After Reviewing a Transaction
The Timeline and status on a transaction update automatically as it moves through processing, so you can always check back on the Transactions page to confirm a payment has settled.
