What is a reporting period?
Last updated: June 25, 2026
A reporting period is the date range an employee worked that a certain check paid wages for. It typically corresponds to the pay frequency an employee is paid on. For example, an employee on a bi-weekly pay frequency is typically paid on a 14 or 15 day reporting period.
To view a check’s reporting period:
Navigate to Pay on the Employer Dashboard
Select History
Select the Date Created payroll you want to review from the list
In the All Employee Checks section, the Reporting Period Start and Reporting Period End dates will be listed for each check.
