ACH Return Policy

Last updated: June 25, 2026

Background

Puzzl Group Inc.’s (“Zeal”)

Processing and Bank Partners empower us to process payments for our customers, only under strict National Automated Clearing House Association (“NACHA”) rules around returned ACHs. Failure to comply with these NACHA rules can result in disruption to Zeal’s working relationship with our Processing and Bank Partners, which impacts our downstream ability to service all of our customers.  In order to ensure compliance with NACHA, Zeal has created this policy which outlines the responsibility of our Payroll Partners and their Companies.

Policy

Partner’s Duty to Inform Their Customers.

Partner will inform Companies that debits from “Zeal” are authorized and should not be blocked or returned. Communication should be handled solely between Partner and Company. Companies should have proper notice so that they do not return Zeal’s attempted debit. If Companies needs to stop an upcoming debit due to any reason (e.g. needs to change withdrawal bank account), they must do so with at least seventy-two (72) hours written notice prior to the debit being triggered. Companies should not stop or return an ACH debit due to any administrative necessity on their side.

Employer’s Duty to Fully Fund Each Payroll Run.

Zeal processes debits for Employers via ACH through Synapse prior to Employee checks being paid out. Employers agree to have enough money in their withdrawal bank account to fully fund the gross amounts of their Employee’s paychecks. Zeal will not “front” Employers funds to pay their Employees if the ACH debit does not go through successfully, and in full.

First Returned ACH.

If an Employer has a returned ACH, Partner will receive a warning notice from Zeal and Employer will be required to confirm any issues with the debiting account is resolved so that Zeal can re-debit the account within one (1) business day. All subsequent payroll runs by Zeal shall be suspended until funds have been received by Zeal. Partner shall pay an additional service charge, inclusive of time and costs. Zeal does not and will not provide loans for payroll runs.

Second Returned ACH.

A second returned ACH for any reason by the same Employer within a rolling thirty (30) day period, Zeal, at its sole discretion, may suspend or terminate said Employer. Partner shall pay an additional service charge, inclusive of time and costs relating to the ACH return and any potential reinstatement.

Multiple Returned ACHs by multiple Employers.

‍During a rolling sixty (60) day period, if there are three or more returned ACHs by one or more Employers serviced by the same Partner, Zeal, at its sole discretion, may suspend or terminate the Partner. Partner shall pay an additional service charge, inclusive of time and costs relating to the ACH return and any potential reinstatement.

Notice: This policy is subject to change with or without notice.
